ART RU

Agency. Art Ru is a contemporary art institution founded in 2011 in Moscow. We perform as an exhibition focused platform but also provide a full scale collection building, art consulting and research activities. More than a hundred of different variety of exhibitions were organised in our space during the past 10 years — from a traditional expositions with museum level artworks to a cross media projects of young artists.

Our focus lays both on working with established artists who have formed Russian contemporary art scene as well as supporting promising names. Artists base of our gallery has a wide geographical origin aspect, it includes Polland, Estonia, Israel, Ukraine and other countries. Art works of gallery’s artists are included in museum collections worldwide: MMOMA, New York, Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, Tate Modern in London, State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, Luciano Benetton Imago Mundi Collection, Alberto Sandretti Foundation, Kolodzei Art Foundation (of Russian and Eastern European Art), USA and more.

Authors presented in Agency. ArtRu are award winners of World Press Photo and Kandinsky Prize, participants of important biennales such as Manifesta and Venice Biennale. Agency.ArtRu has a collection of Soviet nonconformism of the second half of the XX century and pays special attention to popularization and expertise of the so-called «avant-garde of the second wave» period.
