Could you describe your role at BAD+?
For the past 2 years, I've been in charge of co-produced fairs at Bordeaux Events And More. For the BAD+ contemporary art and design fair, I work closely with our co-organizer Jean-Daniel Compain, general curator. My missions: strategy and overall coordination of the fair. In concrete terms, I create links between internal and external players to ensure the smooth running of the event. This involves project management, controlling the budget and schedule, and recruiting service providers and partners.
What do you think of the fair's evolution?
I saw BAD+ come into being, and I've been with it from the start to ensure its integration into the European art fair calendar, with a clear objective: to give ourselves every chance of becoming a must-attend event in Europe (to start with).
BAD+'s unique Art and Art de Vivre positioning sets it apart from existing events, and sets it apart from the rest. Our major partners and institutions are well aware of this, and have been with us from the start.
What tips do you have for making the most of this new edition?
It's already time to save the dates for BAD+ in your diary. One of this year's great new features is an exclusive evening at the heart of the works, with a gala dinner by a top chef, the day before the opening. An immersive experience not to be missed! Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Fondation Bergonié, which funds cancer research programs.
It's also a special edition, during which we celebrate the ties between Bordeaux and Los Angeles on the occasion of their 60th anniversary of twinning. The presence of American galleries and works of art will give collectors and art-lovers alike the chance to indulge their passion. An edition that promises to be rich in discoveries of all kinds.
