Art and ecoresponsibility: a growing concern
Excessiveness is no longer the order of the day. In the face of hundreds of contemporary art fairs that hope to make a name for themselves each year, BAD+ advocates for an international contemporary art fair that is ambitious but "on a human scale and that makes sense in relation to the place where it is held," says Jean-Daniel Compain, BAD+'s general curator.
Art and women, BAD+ for women
As of January 1, 2021, women headed 57% of art centers, 65% of regional contemporary art funds (FRAC), 43% of French museums excluding national museums where they share 68% of management positions. In Bordeaux, they are found at the helm of important institutions. Members of the Honorary Committee of BAD+, they play an important role in the influence of art. Thus, the art and the woman come to invest the living room of any share.
The role of contemporary art, a look at our time
In a period marked by upheavals, mutations and crises (ecological, geopolitical, economic, social), the most rudimentary reference points are disturbed. In its concern to dialogue with its time that it reflects, dissects, questions and reformulates, a large part of the contemporary creation seizes these problems. In doing so, the role of contemporary art is expressed by precious tools of reflection.
BAD+, an international contemporary art fair
Coming from France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, Morocco, Germany, Russia, China, Israel, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the galleries invited to BAD+ are a reflection of our world.
