On the occasion of our first participation in BAD+ Art Fair, we have chosen to present the work of four photographers including a duo - two women / two men - whose works participate in a reflection on the notion of landscape. The photographers in this selection take up this subject which has become a textbook case to propose a new vision of it. All these images draw a kaleidoscopic image of the landscape in which the human being is present only through the traces that he leaves on his environment or lost in the immensity of the places that surround him in the form of discrete touches. Sometimes urban, sometimes wild, the landscape is omnipresent in the work of these artists that we expose. The architecture is in turn sublime ruins or impenetrable buildings. The trees as for them reveal themselves in all their majesty or bent under the weight of the snow in a lonely landscape.
The Esther Woerdehoff Gallery, located in Paris since 1996 and in Geneva since 2021, is a leading place in the world of photographic creation. Rich of a classical collection, the gallery also directs its programming towards contemporary direction of contemporary photography, which has been able to break the limits of the photographic medium.
